Tacos!

Today was my 3rd 5K of the year. I had more energy this time so my time was better. The weather was really good. It was overcast and about 65 degrees. There wasn’t any rain while I was racing.

The race was in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. One of Tremont’s claims to fame is the house from A Christmas Story, which is now a museum. I took some pictures of the area where the race was held. I’ll post those tomorrow (fingers crossed).

I actually ran my best race by about 2 minutes with a total time of 46:37. It was a smaller race, but I still wasn’t dead last or last in my division. Those are two of my goals for every race.

The next race I’m signed up for isn’t until November and I hope to get my time down just a little bit more. I think I’ve come up with a good strategy. Run to one song and then walk to the next. That’s how I plan to train over the next few months. Then work myself to running to two songs and walking to one. We’ll see how it goes.
