Let It Snow!
For the last few weeks here in Cleveland we’ve been promised snow storms. It appears that the third time was indeed the “charm”. The last two times, we had predictions in excess of six inches. We not nothing. This time, it started snowing Sunday night. When I woke up on Monday morning, there was nearly 18 inches of snow outside.
Winter Storm Izzy had hit Cleveland. When did they start naming winter storms? Clearly I missed a memo somewhere along the line.

My brother, Billy, came over to plow the driveway. It took him quite a bit more than an hour to do half our double car driveway, the apron and a strip between the two cars in the driveway.

When I was digging out the Kia, the snow was halfway up my thighs. I went through three pairs of gloves and had to go in and change my leggings before I could go out. I was soaked and frozen to the bone.
They all say that if you don’t like the weather in Cleveland, wait five minutes and it’ll change. That makes forecasting challenging sometimes. The computer models are good, but they can be wrong. Scott Sabol has a series of three articles on the storm. There is one on the reason snowfall exceeded predictions, one on the meteorology behind the storm and one with pictures.
Here are some more pictures. We even made the Daily Mail in the UK.

Hello all!
My name is Kathryn. I live in suburban Cleveland. I have 2 cats, who are my kids. I work in early childhood education, specializing in infants at a local childcare center. I’ve also worked with preschoolers and school aged kids there. I used to be an ESL teacher in South Korea.
I love to bake. My coworkers get to be my taste testers. I enjoy coloring, and I even participate in a coloring Meet Up group. I’m a fan of all kinds of music, but country is my favorite. I started taking a tap class at a local dance studio. Ginger Rogers, I’m not. But I’m holding my own after *mumble years* away from it.
My kitties, Gidgette and Ivory, are my favorite models for my photography. I play around with photo editors to create what I call “Works of Art”. I’m not very good at it, but I do it anyway.
Please visit me at Mighty Kool Kat. You can find my links to social media there.
Glad I missed it! I took a three hour walk today in sunny Mexico City! Not a single flake of snow to be seen.
