Another Race?

Sure, why not.

I just signed up for the Pigskin Classic 5K. It’s another race that goes through Downtown Cleveland. This one’s a little better in that it starts at 10:00 AM. Then I guess you’re supposed to head over to the Dive Bar (that’s it’s name) to watch the Ohio State – Michigan football game.

I’ll be skipping the bar part. I’m sure there is going to be a zillion people in there. And just as likely, there will be few masks. That’s a recipe for a superspreader event. I’m not interested in getting COVID, even if I have been vaccinated (and hopefully boosted soon). Even without the COVID thing going on, I hate hot, noisy places with drunk people. I’ll watch the game in the comfort of the living room recliner.

I’m hoping to do as well as I did in my first 5K. But my goals are still the same.

  • Finish
  • Not be last
  • Do it in under an hour

And More! Autumn Cleveland Kathryn Kat Running Seasons

Kathryn View All →

Hello all!

My name is Kathryn. I live in suburban Cleveland. I have 2 cats, who are my kids. I work in early childhood education, specializing in infants at a local childcare center. I’ve also worked with preschoolers and school aged kids there. I used to be an ESL teacher in South Korea.

I love to bake. My coworkers get to be my taste testers. I enjoy coloring, and I even participate in a coloring Meet Up group. I’m a fan of all kinds of music, but country is my favorite. I started taking a tap class at a local dance studio. Ginger Rogers, I’m not. But I’m holding my own after *mumble years* away from it.

My kitties, Gidgette and Ivory, are my favorite models for my photography. I play around with photo editors to create what I call “Works of Art”. I’m not very good at it, but I do it anyway.

Please visit me at Mighty Kool Kat. You can find my links to social media there.

  1. Good luck!
I know what you mean about crowded places with very few wearing masks. I actually feel safer down here in Mexico. The majority of people are wearing masks even on the street, and you do not get inside any business without one. I feel more comfortable going to a restaurant because most places have outdoor seating, or at least very open areas. And all the servers are masked.
Someday, when we can once again feel safe, we will have to go out for lunch.
